Kevin Kasel: Tell me about your family life, do you have any brothers or sisters?

Joe Campbell: I have two sisters, they are both older then me.

Kevin: How old where you when you started playing hockey?

Joe: I was four years old.

Kevin: Why did you start?

Joe: My Dad pretty much asked me what kind of sports would you like to play in? All my friends at that time started playing hockey. I played basketball and hockey at the same time, I ended up taking hockey.

Kevin: Why did you decide to play for the Bucs?

Joe: I guess the first time, it was because of me and Andy (Nelson) were together and I was protected by them when I came back from college.

Kevin: Have you always been a defensemen?

Joe: I was forward until Squirt "A", which is about 8 or 9 years old. Then I became a defensemen.

Kevin: If I won the lottery, the first thing I'd do is ...

Joe: I go on a trip with all my friends.

Kevin: Do you have a nickname?

Joe: I have many nicknames. Gumby, JC, they call me Soupy here now. I think Soupy is sticking right now.

Kevin: Best advice you've ever received (doesn't have to be hockey-related):

Joe: Give it your best.

Kevin: Tell me about some of your goals for the future.

Joe: To win a scholarship again, to hopefully go Division I. To graduate from college with a degree. Those are my two main goals right now.

Kevin: What are some things you want to do in your life besides hockey?

Joe: I'm really into architecture. I like to be an architect of some sort.

Kevin: What would you being doing now if you weren't playing hockey?

Joe: I'd be going to school somewhere.

Kevin: What would you consider your dream car?

Joe: A Hummer.

Kevin: What do you like to do besides hockey?

Joe: Hunt and fish and golf.

Kevin: What can't you imagine living without?

Joe: Hockey, I guess.

Kevin: What's your most embarrassing moment?

Joe: When I was in High School, I was announced for the starting line-up and I went out there and fell, and everybody started laughing in the stands. So that was the biggest one.

Kevin: Finish this sentence. My team mates think I'm ...

Joe: A goof ball.

Kevin: If you could have lunch with one person, past or present, who would it be?

Joe: Halle Berry!

Kevin: If you were a head coach of a team what would you do?

Joe: I just try to reinforce to them it's a game of fun. And if you're not in it for fun, then you shouldn't be playing at all.

Kevin: What is your favorite food?

Joe: Salmon.

Kevin: Who is your favorite band?

Joe: I don't really have a favorite, I listen to such a variety of music. Probably my all-time favorite band is Led Zepplen.

Kevin: What is your favorite TV show/book?

Joe: I probably say Friends.

Kevin: If you started your own NHL franchise, and you could pick any player, who would you start with and why?

Joe: I started with Rob Blake, because he such dominate force defensively and offensively. And a great leader, ultimate player.

Kevin: Who would you have on your hockey "Dream Team"?

Joe: I have Rob Blake, Pavel Bure, Kariya, Todd Bertuzzi. Probably Patrick Roy for goalie and Nicklas Lidstrom for defensemen.

Kevin: What are your superstitions?

Joe: I don't really have any. Just that I say a prayer before every game, just before I am about to go on the ice.

Kevin: If you were stranded on a desert island, whom would you want to be stranded with ... Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Michelle Gellar or Tara Reid?

Joe: Tara Reid.

Kevin: Who would you rather be, Bugs Bunny or Road Runner?

Joe: Road Runner.

Kevin: Who would you rather be, Superman or Batman?

Joe: Superman.

Kevin: If I could change one thing about me, it would be ...

Joe: My size. I'm tall, but I'm not too husky.

Kevin: Any advice for younger hockey players?

Joe: Like I said before, you should be playing the game for fun. If you're not having fun, then you shouldn't be playing it.
